Fair Sourcing Policy

Our commitment to responsible, compliant, and transparent data collection across the BraveData network.

Last updated: June 10, 2026

1. Our Principles

BraveData believes B2B data should be sourced responsibly. This policy describes the standards we hold ourselves to when compiling, verifying, and serving professional data through our database and API.

2. Public Data Only

We index information that is publicly accessible and presented in a professional, business context. We do not access private accounts, bypass authentication, or use a customer's personal login session to harvest data.

3. No Account-Level Scraping

Unlike browser-extension tools, BraveData operates as an independent REST API that scrapes public pages from our own cloud infrastructure. Customers never connect their own social accounts, eliminating the ban and security risks associated with session-based scraping.

4. Real-Time Accuracy

Because we scrape live on each request, the data reflects the current public state of a page rather than a stale, months-old snapshot. We return the fields that are publicly available at scrape time and do not fabricate or guarantee data — including personal contact details — that a page does not expose.

5. Respecting Removal Requests

We honor opt-out and removal requests from data subjects. When a verified request is received, the corresponding record is suppressed from query results and excluded from future enrichment cycles.

6. Rate & Infrastructure Ethics

Our cloud collection infrastructure is designed to operate within reasonable load and to avoid degrading the sources it learns from. We do not encourage or facilitate denial-of-service behavior.

7. Customer Responsibility

Fair sourcing extends to how the data is used. Customers must comply with our Terms of Service and all applicable anti-spam and data-protection laws when contacting individuals.
